Both life coaches and therapists help people improve their lives, and there can be some overlap. In general, therapists focus on addressing mental health concerns and previous traumas, while life coaches help clients achieve their goals and improve their overall well-being.
I follow the client's lead in all sessions, allowing them to identify goals that are most important in their lives. If desired, I can help clients create an action plan and stay accountable, which may help them to achieve their goals.
Confidentiality is a foundation of my coaching practice. I follow the International Coach Federation's (ICF) Code of Ethics, which has strict guidelines for maintaining client confidentiality.
